POSITION: Senior Operations Officer

Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 8–12 years’ experience in operations, strategy, or consulting
• Proven experience in multi-division or group environments
• Experience in process optimisation and operational transformation
• Exposure to mergers and acquisitions or corporate development is advantageous
• Bilingual- English and Afrikaans
• Ability to work well under pressure and be target driven
• Excellent communication Skills (able to communicate on Executive Management Level)
• Identify inefficiencies
• Implement Standardized best practices
• Unlock Operational synergies
• Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Excellence

• Analyze operations within and across divisions to identify inefficiencies, duplication, and performance gaps
• Develop and implement standardized processes and operating models
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs
• Establish and monitor operational benchmarks within and across divisions

2. Cross-Divisional Integration

• Break down silo structures and promote collaboration across divisions
• Identify and implement shared services and centralized capabilities
• Align processes, systems, and governance frameworks across the organization
• Quantify and deliver measurable synergy benefits

3. Shared Services Leadership
• Provide direct oversight of divisions delivering operational shared services
• Ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality service delivery across all divisions
• Establish and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Optimize cost-to-serve while maintaining service standards
• Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement
• Align shared services with the operational needs of business units

4. Strategic Growth & Mergers & Acquisitions
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities aligned to company strategy
• Develop and manage a pipeline of acquisition and expansion opportunities
• Conduct commercial, financial, and operational due diligence
• Prepare and present business cases for executive approval
• Support integration of acquired businesses to ensure value realization

5. Performance Management & Reporting
• Define and implement key performance indicators across divisions
• Monitor operational efficiency, service delivery, and financial performance
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to leadership
• Ensure accountability for delivery of key initiatives

6. Executive Reporting & Governance
• Prepare and present monthly operational reports to the Managing Director and Financial Director
• Report on:
o Operational efficiencies and cost savings
o Cross-divisional synergies
o Shared services performance
o Strategic initiatives and M&A pipeline
• Identify risks, issues, and corrective actions
• Support executive decision-making through accurate and timely insights

7. Change Leadership & Execution

• Lead transformation and change initiatives across the organization
• Drive adoption of new processes and operating models
• Influence senior stakeholders and ensure alignment
Ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within budget
