Workshop Manager- Panel Beating Shop

POSITION: WORKSHOP MANAGER- PANEL BEATING SHOP
We are looking for a Workshop Manager for our Panel Beating Shop
Staring date: ASAP
Criteria:
• Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or similar role in a panel beating environment
• Strong knowledge of panel shop operations and insurance processes
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills
• Computer literacy (job cards, costing systems, reporting tools)
Responsibilities and duties
• Assess vehicle damages and prepare accurate quotations
• Identify and report any additional damages on authorised vehicles
• Liaise with clients, assessors, and insurance companies
• Manage parts ordering (OEM and alternative/green parts)
• Conduct part pricing checks and manage back-order communication
• Oversee paint and consumables ordering
• Manage the full repair process from start to finish
• Provide regular progress updates to clients and insurers
• Supervise all panel shop departments (panel beating, paint shop, polish, assembly, QC)
• Lead and manage workshop and administrative staff
• Ensure proper handover of completed vehicles to clients
• Maintain workshop facilities and equipment
• Handle customer complaints and resolve concerns professionally
• Compile and submit progress reports
• Finalise job costing and repair invoices
• Forecast targets and manage departmental turnover
• Experience with OEM standards (Jaguar Land Rover, Honda, MG, etc.)
• Knowledge of insurance platforms and claims processes
